The MMX 32 VGA A is designed to route high resolution computer-video and stereo audio signals. The MMX 32 VGA A accepts VGA-UXGA and unbalanced stereo audio input signals and features three 15-pin HD female video input connectors and three 3.5 mm female mini jacks, allowing direct connection to computer video cards and sound cards using a standard VGA and audio cable. Output one is optimized for a local or preview monitor and includes a 3.5 mm stereo mini jack for driving local powered speakers or a recording device. Output two is optimized for connection to the main presentation display and house sound system. The unit can also be controlled through RS-232 by a control system or by contact closure with tally output, which allows the user to control both outputs from remote locations.

The MMX 32 VGA A is an economical, compact unit effective in small installations, such as boardrooms, classrooms, and home theaters. The intuitive front panel with tactile buttons and LED indicators enables easy control of inputs and outputs for non-technical users. It is housed in 1U, half rack width metal enclosure.

• Outputs: Video on female BNC and 15-pin HD connectors; audio on captive screw and 3.5 mm stereo mini jacks
• 300 MHz (-3 dB) bandwidth, fully loaded — Ensures switching and distribution of most signals without degradation. The ratings are worst case specifications, i.e., the MMX 32 VGA A provides 300 MHz (-3 dB) at full performance capacity when one input signal drives both outputs.
• Buffered I/O — Each input and output is individually buffered to provide maximum performance and virtually no crosstalk.
• RS-232 control — Using serial commands, the MMX 32 VGA A can be controlled and configured via the included Windows-based control software, or integrated into a control system. Extron products use the SIS™ - Simple Instruction Set command protocol, a set of basic ASCII code commands that allow for quick and easy programming. The RS-232 port also makes it easy to install firmware updates.
• Optional MMX 32 AAP and MMX 32 MAAP remote control modules — Optional control modules provide remote input selection per output. The MMX 32 AAP is a single space AAP - Architectural Adapter Plate, while the MMX 32 MAAP is a single space MAAP - Mini Architectural Adapter Plate. Both include three input selection buttons with corresponding LED indicators.
• 1U, rack-mountable, half rack width metal enclosure — Can be rack-mounted using an optional rack shelf.
• External universal energy efficient power supply included, replacement part # 70-775-01 — Provides worldwide compatibility, low power consumption, and reduced operating costs.
