Extron XTP T UWP 202 Two Input XTP Transmitter -
Decora® Wallplate |
Product Code:
XTPTUWP202
|
The XTP T UWP 202 and XTP T UWP
202 NL are two-input transmitters for sending HDMI or RGBHV video,
audio, and bidirectional RS-232 and IR up to 330 feet (100 m) over
a shielded CATx cable. The XTP T UWP 202 includes an Ethernet port
on the front plate to enable Ethernet extension for LAN access.
Incoming analog video signals are digitized for reliable display on
a variety of output devices. The XTP® transmitters are HDCP
compliant and support computer video to 1920x1200, including
1080p/60 Deep Color and 2K signals. These transmitters work with
XTP Systems® for signal distribution and long-distance
transmission in wall-mount environments.
The XTP T UWP 202 and XTP T UWP 202 NL provide signal extension
from remote sources for high performance transmission of video,
audio, and bidirectional control over long distances. Video source
signals may be HDMI or an analog video format, with analog video
signals digitized for reliable enterprise-wide distribution. To
streamline operations, the transmitters feature auto-switching that
allows for simple, unmanaged transmission from within a lectern or
under a table. Switching priority is configurable when multiple
inputs are active. To simplify installation, XTP transmitters can
be powered by the XTP CrossPoint matrix switcher. The included
Decora-style wallplate is designed to provide convenient AV access
that blends in with the environment.
Two Extron technologies simplify integration of HDMI-enabled
devices. EDID Minder® automatically manages EDID by
maintaining continuous EDID communication with sources, ensuring
that all sources power up properly and reliably transmit content to
the destination. For encrypted content, Key Minder®
authenticates and maintains HDCP encryption between devices to
ensure quick and reliable signal distribution.
These transmitters are compatible with a broad range of
multi-channel audio signals. For digital audio, the HDMI inputs
enable transmission of embedded audio or separate analog stereo
audio signals. This feature enables direct connection of separate
stereo audio signals from a laptop, Blu-ray Disc player, or other
device. In addition, the transmitter provides selectable analog
stereo audio input embedding. Embedding stereo audio into the
signal stream provides support of balanced/unbalanced stereo audio
for extended transmission, reducing the number of cable runs to the
destination. They also provide audio input gain and attenuation
control plus volume adjustment to manage the audio signals from
source endpoints. These features enable the output volume level to
be set, eliminating noticeable volume differences when switching
between sources.
The XTP T UWP 202 also features Ethernet extension. Centralized
10/100 Ethernet communication can be implemented via an Ethernet
extension port to reduce the number of independent network drops
required within a system. The NL model is ideal for locations where
Ethernet extension is unnecessary.
The Extron technologies, reduced cabling needs, remote power
capabilities, and wall-mountable design of these two input XTP
transmitters allow for discreet placement in a wide variety of
environments. Extron recommends Extron-certified XTP DTP 24
shielded twisted pair cable, shielded RJ-45 plugs, jacks, and
couplers engineered for optimum signal transmission with Extron XTP
Systems. The XTP DTP 24 cable is certified to 475 MHz, and utilizes
a SF/UTP design with four unshielded 24 AWG twisted pair conductors
inside an overall braid and foil shield for superior performance
and noise immunity

• Transmits
HDMI or digitized analog video, audio, and bidirectional RS-232 and
IR up to 330 feet (100 m) over a shielded CATx cable — The
XTP T UWP 202 and XTP T UWP 202 NL provide high reliability and
maximum performance on an economical and easily installed cable
infrastructure.
• HDMI and VGA inputs
• Supports computer video up to 1920x1200, including HDTV
1080p/60 Deep Color and 2K — Supports digital signal
transmission up to 330 feet over a single twisted pair cable,
maintaining superior image quality at the highest resolutions.
• Compatible with CATx shielded twisted pair cable —
The XTP transmitters fully support a maximum transmission distance
of 330 feet (100 meters) for all compatible resolutions when used
with CATx shielded twisted pair cable. Shielded twisted pair
cabling with solid center conductor sizes of 24 AWG or better is
recommended for optimal performance.
• Extron XTP DTP 24 shielded twisted pair cable is strongly
recommended for optimal performance
• Auto-switching between inputs — Auto-switching allows
for simple, unmanaged installation in locations such as within a
lectern or floor box. When multiple inputs are active, the
switching priority is configurable.
• Digital conversion of analog video formats — Analog
signals are digitized, ensuring that a reliable, high quality
digital video signal is sent to the output destination.
• Bidirectional RS-232 and IR insertion for AV device control
— Bidirectional RS-232 control and IR signals can be inserted
into the XTP output, allowing a remote device to be controlled
without the need for additional cabling.
• Supported HDMI specification features include data rates up
to 6.75 Gbps, Deep Color up to 12-bit, 3D, HD lossless audio
formats, and CEC pass-through
• HDCP compliant — Ensures display of content-protected
media and interoperability with other HDCP-compliant devices.
•EDID Minder® automatically manages EDID communication
between connected devices — EDID Minder ensures that all
sources power up properly and reliably output content for
display.
• Key Minder® continuously verifies HDCP compliance for
quick, reliable switching — Key Minder authenticates and
maintains continuous HDCP encryption between input and output
devices to ensure quick and reliable switching in professional AV
environments, while enabling simultaneous distribution of a single
source to multiple displays.
• Ethernet extension - XTP T UWP 202 — Centralized
10/100 Ethernet communication can be implemented via an Ethernet
pass-through port to reduce the amount of independent network drops
required within a system.
• Remote power capability — To simplify integration,
XTP transmitters and receivers can be powered by the XTP CrossPoint
matrix switcher.
• Supports multiple embedded audio formats — The XTP
transmitters are compatible with a broad range of multi-channel
audio signals, providing reliable operation with HDMI sources.
• RS-232 control — Using serial commands, the
transmitter can be controlled and configured via the Extron
