Extron XTP T USW 103 Three Input XTP Switcher with
Integrated XTP Transmitter |
Product Code:
XTPTUSW103
|
The XTP T USW 103 is a
three-input switcher for sending HDMI or RGBHV video, audio,
control, and Ethernet up to 330 feet (100 meters) over a shielded
CATx cable. It is HDCP compliant, and supports 1080p/60 Deep Color
and 1920x1200 signals. The XTP® switcher digitizes incoming
analog video for reliable display on a variety of output devices.
The transmitter also allows Ethernet extension and insertion of
bidirectional RS-232 and IR for LAN access and AV device control at
remote locations. The XTP T USW 103 transmitter works with XTP
Systems® for signal distribution and long-distance
transmission between remote endpoints.
The XTP T USW 103 provides signal extension from up to three remote
sources for high performance transmission of video, audio, control,
and Ethernet over long distances. Analog signals are digitized to
ensure a high quality digital video signal is transmitted to the
output destination. To streamline operations, the transmitter
features auto-switching that allows for simple, unmanaged source
selection from within a lectern or under a table. Switching
priority is configurable when multiple inputs are active. This
three-input switcher is ideally integrated with XTP CP boards
mounted in an XTP CrossPoint® matrix switcher for complete
digital and analog signal extension over one shielded CATx cable
within an enterprise-wide distribution system.
The switcher allows the embedding of separate analog stereo audio
signals via a 3.5 mm TRS connector for extended transmission.
Embedding an audio signal into the output stream helps to reduce
the number of cable runs to the destination. The transmitter also
provides audio input gain and attenuation control plus volume
adjustment to manage the audio signals from the source endpoint.
These features enable the output volume level to be set,
eliminating noticeable volume differences when switching between
sources.
The XTP T USW 103 offers convenient source control options,
including front panel, RS-232, IR, and contact closure for input
selection. For installation flexibility, the transmitter also
provides an RS-232 and IR insertion port to enable bidirectional
control of an AV device using the same, single CATx cable. These
features simplify source management and integration with a control
system.
To further streamline system design, the transmitting switcher can
be powered by the matrix switcher over the same twisted pair cable
that transmits the AV and inserted signals. Additionally,
centralized 10/100 Ethernet communication can be implemented via an
Ethernet port. These capabilities speed up installation at remote
endpoints by eliminating the need to provide AC power to the device
and reducing the number of independent network drops required
within a system. Housed in a 1" (2.5 cm) high, half rack width
metal enclosure, the of the XTP T USW 103 allow for discreet
placement in space-challenged environments.
Extron recommends Extron-certified XTP DTP 24 shielded twisted pair
cable, shielded RJ-45 plugs, jacks, and couplers engineered for
optimum signal transmission with Extron XTP Systems. The XTP DTP 24
cable is certified to 475 MHz, and utilizes a SF/UTP design with
four unshielded 24 AWG twisted pair conductors inside an overall
braid and foil shield for superior performance and noise
immunity.

• Transmits
HDMI or digitized analog video, audio, bidirectional RS-232 and IR,
and Ethernet up to 330 feet (100 m) over a shielded CATx cable
— The XTP T USW 103 provides high reliability and maximum
performance on an economical and easily installed cable
infrastructure.
• Two HDMI inputs and one VGA input
• Supports computer video up to 1920x1200, including HDTV
1080p/60 Deep Color and 2K — Supports digital signal
transmission up to 330 feet over a shielded twisted pair cable,
maintaining superior image quality at the highest resolutions.
• Compatible with CATx shielded twisted pair cable —
The XTP T USW 103 fully supports a maximum transmission distance of
330 feet (100 meters) for all compatible resolutions when used with
CATx shielded twisted pair cable. Shielded twisted pair cabling
with solid center conductor sizes of 24 AWG or better is
recommended for optimal performance.
• Extron XTP DTP 24 shielded twisted pair cable is strongly
recommended for optimal performance
• Auto-switching between inputs — Auto-switching allows
for simple, unmanaged installation in locations such as within a
lectern or under a conference table. When multiple inputs are
active, the switching priority is configurable.
• Digital conversion of analog video formats — Analog
signals are digitized, ensuring that a reliable, high quality
digital video signal is sent to the output destination.
• Bidirectional RS-232 and IR insertion for AV device control
— Bidirectional RS-232 control and IR signals can be inserted
into the XTP output, allowing a remote device to be controlled
without the need for additional cabling.
• aaSupported HDMI specification features include data rates
up to 6.75 Gbps, Deep Color up to 12-bit, 3D, HD lossless audio
formats, and CEC pass-through
• HDCP compliant — Ensures display of content-protected
media and interoperability with other HDCP-compliant devices.
• EDID Minder® automatically manages EDID communication
between connected devices — EDID Minder ensures that all
sources power up properly and reliably output content for
display.
• Key Minder® continuously verifies HDCP compliance for
quick, reliable switching — Key Minder authenticates and
maintains continuous HDCP encryption between input and output
devices to ensure quick and reliable switching in professional AV
environments, while enabling simultaneous distribution of a single
source to multiple displays.
• Ethernet extension — Centralized 10/100 Ethernet
communication can be implemented via an Ethernet pass-through port
