The Extron XTP T HWP 101 is a
single gang Decora®-style transmitter for sending HDMI with
embedded audio up to 330 feet (100 meters) over a single shielded
CATx cable. The one-gang form factor provides maximum space
efficiency for convenient installation in wall mount, floor box,
and furniture mount applications. The transmitter is HDCP compliant
and supports computer video to 1920x1200, including 1080p/60 Deep
Color and 2K resolutions. It offers many of the integrator-friendly
features that are standard with XTP® products, such as EDID
Minder® and remote power capability. The single-gang XTP T HWP
101 works with XTP Systems® for signal distribution and
long-distance transmission in wall-mount environments.
Two Extron technologies simplify integration of HDMI-enabled
devices. EDID Minder® automatically manages EDID by
maintaining continuous EDID communication with sources, ensuring
that all sources power up properly and reliably transmit content to
the destination. For encrypted content, Key Minder®
authenticates and maintains HDCP encryption between devices to
ensure quick and reliable signal distribution.
Extron recommends Extron-certified XTP DTP 24 shielded twisted pair
cable, shielded RJ-45 plugs, jacks, and couplers engineered for
optimum signal transmission with Extron XTP Systems. The XTP DTP 24
cable is certified to 475 MHz, and utilizes a SF/UTP design with
four unshielded 24 AWG twisted pair conductors inside an overall
braid and foil shield for superior performance and noise
immunity.
This XTP transmitter provides signal extension from remote sources
for high performance transmission of HDMI over long distances. To
simplify integration, the XTP T HWP 101 can be powered by the XTP
CrossPoint® matrix switcher. The transmitter mounts in an
included Decora-style wallplate designed for installation in
standard one-gang electrical junction boxes.

The XTP transmitter fully supports a maximum transmission distance
of 330 feet (100 meters) for all compatible resolutions when used
with CATx shielded twisted pair cable. Shielded twisted pair
cabling with solid center conductor sizes of 24 AWG or better is
recommended for optimal performance.
