Extron XTP SR HDMI XTP Scaling Receiver |
Product Code:
XTPSRHDMI
|
The Extron XTP SR HDMI is an
XTP® receiver that scales HDMI, DVI, RGB, HD component video,
and standard definition video to the optimal output resolution for
the display. It accepts video, audio, bidirectional RS-232 and IR,
and Ethernet up to 330 feet (100 m) over a shielded CATx cable. The
receiver features HDMI audio de-embedding with digital S/PDIF or
analog stereo audio outputs. It also allows Ethernet extension and
insertion of bidirectional RS-232 and IR for LAN access and AV
device control at remote locations. The XTP SR HDMI scaling
receiver works with XTP Systems® for signal distribution and
long-distance transmission to remote endpoints.
The XTP SR HDMI scaling receiver is HDCP compliant and supports
1080p/60 and 1920x1200 signals. It enables the reliable, long
distance scaling and distribution of HDMI signals, supporting Deep
Color up to 12-bit, embedded HD lossless audio formats, and CEC
pass-through. In addition, DDC channels are actively buffered,
allowing EDID and HDCP communication to be maintained between a
source and display. Continuous communication ensures device
compatibility and optimal signal transmission between devices.
The scaling receiver provides selectable output rates up to
1920x1200, including HDTV 1080p/60, to scale video to the optimal
output resolution for the display. It also provides many
integrator-friendly features such as Key Minder®, EDID
Minder®, picture controls, on-screen menus, and audio controls
for simplified installation. The XTP SR HDMI is ideally integrated
into XTP Systems for precise and reliable scaling of video for
digital displays.
The XTP SR HDMI includes Extron technologies to enhance and
simplify integration with HDMI-equipped devices. For HDMI signals
with protected content, Key Minder authenticates HDCP encryption to
provide quick and reliable transmission across the cable
infrastructure. If HDCP-encrypted content is sent to a
non-compliant display, a full-screen green signal is sent,
providing immediate visual notification that protected content
cannot be viewed on the display. Another included Extron technology
is EDID Minder, which ensures continuous EDID communication between
devices.
In addition to high performance video, the scaling receiver accepts
audio signals over the one cable. It provides signal distribution
for HDMI embedded audio or audio de-embedding with multi-channel
S/PDIF or two-channel balanced/unbalanced analog stereo and PCM
audio. To precisely control audio, the XTP SR HDMI provides volume
adjustment and muting. This variety of audio transmission and
control features helps to simplify system design and reduce the
number of cable runs between endpoints.
The XTP SR HDMI includes an RS-232 and IR insertion port, allowing
bidirectional control of an AV device using the one cable. This
feature simplifies integration with a control system for managing a
remote display. Additionally, centralized 10/100 Ethernet
communication can be implemented via Ethernet extension port to
reduce the number of independent network drops required within a
system. Finally, two relays on the receiver can be activated to
operate a screen, projector lift, or other environmental element at
the display location.
To further simplify system design, the scaling receiver can be
powered by the matrix switcher over the same cable that transmits
the AV and control signals. This capability speeds up installation
at remote endpoints by eliminating the need to provide AC power to
the device. Housed in a 1" (2.5 cm) high, half rack width metal
enclosure, the remote powering capabilities and low profile design
of the XTP SR HDMI allow for discreet placement in space-challenged
environments.
Extron recommends Extron-certified XTP DTP 24 shielded twisted pair
cable, shielded RJ-45 plugs, jacks, and couplers engineered for
optimum signal transmission with Extron XTP Systems. The XTP DTP 24
cable is certified to 475 MHz, and utilizes a SF/UTP design with
four unshielded 24 AWG twisted pair conductors inside an overall
braid and foil shield for superior performance and noise
immunity.

• Receives
video with embedded audio, bidirectional RS-232 and IR, and
Ethernet up to 330 feet (100 m) over a shielded CATx cable —
The XTP SR HDMI provides high reliability and maximum performance
on an economical and easily installed cable infrastructure.
• Scales HDMI, DVI, RGB, HD component video, and standard
definition video received from XTP devices
• Selectable output rates from 640x480 to 1920x1200,
including HDTV 1080p/60 and 2K — The output rate can be
selected using the on-screen menu system or via RS-232 control.
• Compatible with CATx shielded twisted pair cable —
The XTP SR HDMI fully supports a maximum transmission distance of
330 feet (100 meters) for all compatible resolutions when used with
CATx shielded twisted pair cable. Shielded twisted pair cabling
with solid center conductor sizes of 24 AWG or better is
recommended for optimal performance.
• Extron XTP DTP 24 shielded twisted pair cable is strongly
recommended for optimal performance
• Bidirectional RS-232 and IR insertion for AV device control
— Bidirectional RS-232 control and IR signals can be
transmitted alongside the video signal, allowing the remote display
to be controlled without the need for additional cabling.
• Supported HDMI specification features include data rates up
to 6.75 Gbps, Deep Color up to 12-bit, HD lossless audio formats,
and CEC pass-through
• HDCP compliant — Ensures display of content-protected
media and interoperability with other HDCP-compliant devices.
Requires an HDCP-compliant transmitter to pass HDCP content with
this scaling receiver.
• EDID Minder® automatically manages EDID communication
between connected devices — EDID Minder ensures that all
sources power up properly and reliably output content for
display.
• Key Minder® continuously verifies HDCP compliance for
quick, reliable switching — Key Minder authenticates and
maintains continuous HDCP encryption between input and output
devices to ensure quick and reliable switching in professional AV
environments, while enabling simultaneous distribution of a single
source to multiple displays.
• Ethernet extension — Centralized 10/100 Ethernet
communication can be implemented via an Ethernet pass-through port
to reduce the amount of independent network drops required within a
system.
• HDMI audio de-embedding with analog stereo and digital
S/PDIF audio outputs — Digital HDMI audio is made available
as a balanced or unbalanced analog stereo signal on captive screw
connectors.
• Remote power capability — To simplify integration,
XTP transmitters and receivers can be powered by the XTP CrossPoint
matrix switcher.
• Supports multiple embedded audio formats
