Overview Extender
is used to connect two distant TV studios (up to 20 km) or studio with the
transmission center, where it is necessary to have two independent channels of
communication in the both sides. Each of devices of transceiver pairs converts
the 2 of serial digital video signals into light pulses transmitted through the
optical cable (Single mode) and simultaneously converts the light pulses
received from the optical cable back into the SD-SDI signals. Transceiving of
SDI signals via fiber is performed in 1510-1570 nm optical window. DFB lasers
are used . Multiplexing of channels are optical. All embedded in SDI data (audio
signals, data, etc.) are save.
