Extender is used to connect
two distant TV studios (up
to 20 km) or studio with the
transmission center, where
it is necessary to have 4
independent channels of
communication .The
TRANSMITTER converts up to
four channels of serial
digital signals on BNC
connectors to light pulses
that are transmitted over a
single fiber optical
cable(Single mode). The
RECEIVER converts the pulses
back into four HD-SDI
,SD-SDI signals.
Transceiving of SDI signals
via fiber is performed in
1510-1570 nm optical window.
DFB lasers are used .
Multiplexing of channels are
optical. All embedded in SDI
data (audio signals, data,
etc.) are save.
