ABonAir’s AB425 wireless broadcast system
enables camera teams to transmit broadcast sessions directly from cameras to
control centers over the air. The AB425 supports ABonAir’s AB-MultiZone technology
that can cover massive areas and even multiple zones with a single receiver,
connecting up to 250 MIMO antennas. Deployment can start with as few as 2
antennas and grow as required.
The system can be deployed in multiple topologies for ease of installation:
daisy chain, star or any combination of the two, enabling flexible topologies
based on venue requirements. The system automatically identifies the topology in
place, making setup simple and easy.
ABonAir’s AB425 utilizes full MIMO radio architecture and employs two antennas
at the transmitter side and as many as needed in the receiver, allowing
simultaneous transmission of two data streams via two radio transceivers.
Combining signals into one signal in the receiver produces better coverage and
stability. AB425 includes integrated Camera Control Units (CCU or RCP) and Tally
Light to perfectly support multi-camera broadcast sessions. The system allows
video transmission of up to 2.5 km. AB425 system supports integrated Intercom
for communication between the cameraman and the director on the same RF channel
as the video content.

The system supports all the resolutions: 1080p, 1080i, 720p, NTSC, PAL at all
frame rates 60fps, 59.94, 50, 30, 29.97, 25 and 24.
• Unlicensed frequencies (5Ghz, 2.4Ghz)
ABonAir products utilize the unlicensed frequencies allocated worldwide for
public use, this enables any camera crew to operate their system anywhere
without the need to buy specially allocated frequencies at high costs.
• Low Delay mode
This mode enables the user to reduce the overall system delay to 90msec when
needed by the use case. In cases where low delay is not needed, operator can
select Normal mode to increase range and picture quality.
• Intercom
AB320's Intercom capability enables the director to communicate with the
Cameraman without the need for additional intercom systems, to a range of 2.5Km.
• Camera Control Unit
In multi-camera productions, when CCU functionalities like color adjustment and
others are required, the CCU feature enables the center production team to
control the camera wirelessly up to 2 km.
• Tally – Cue Light
The system supports both internal (in CCU signal) and external Tally light to be
used with either and integral Tally in the CCU or a more complex external Tally
system for multiple camera support.
• Automatic set up
The system is fully automatic and set the operation parameters for the users
automatically, based on the field conditions. This releases the cameraman to do
his main task of shooting and avoid spending time on difficult system
configuration. Among the automatically configured parameters are RF channel,
Encoding bit rate, OFDM modulation mode, Forward Error Correction ratio and
others.

ABonAir offers a wide selection of Antennas, either Omni, Sector or Directional
that enable user to reach far up to 2.5Km and beyond for special filming
scenarios.
• Data link
For special complex system usage the ABonAir system has a full duplex data link
in parallel to the video that can support up to 1 Mbps of data. This enables
users to transfer any application specific data from side to side.
• Audio
Audio can be either embedded in the HD-SDI video stream directly from the camera
or a microphone can be connected to one of the two audio inputs available in the
system. The system also support phantom power microphone with 48V supply.
• Low power consumption (12 W)
With low power consumption of only 12W users can operate the system for few
hours with a regular camera battery. |
