Teradek Bond II Integrated Camera-Top H.264 Cellular Bonding Solution
|
Product Code: BONDII
|
Overview: |
The Teradek Bond line of cellular bonding solutions allows video professionals to broadcast 1080p HD video over
aggregated bandwidth from several network interfaces, including 3G/4G/LTE, WiFi, BGAN, Ethernet, and Fiber. Bond devices utilize hardware-based high profile
H.264 compression, resulting in very low power consumption and long run times. Each bonding solution offers a local monitoring capability on iOS devices, quick
access to settings via an OLED display, and IFB for communication from the studio to the field. All Bond devices require a Sputnik server, which converts
each bonded feed into a standard video format that can be sent to any streaming platform on the Web or to many H.264 decoders.
Bond II is an exciting addition to the award-winning Bond camera-top cellular mux family. Bond II was designed to function as an efficient and portable
bonding solution that excels in time sensitive situations and challenging environments with minimal maneuverability. Its compact size, light weight, and
low power consumption combined with its cost-effective price make Bond II an unbeatable value for broadcasters. Bond II comes with a built-in HD H.264
encoder, HD-SDI input, 6 USB slots for 3G/4G/LTE modems, and requires fewer cables than the original Cube + Bond system. Additionally, Bond II offers a
flexible new modem mounting option that ensures your cellular dongles are protected from aggressive movement.

· Send Your Content Anywhere
Teradek Bond devices allow you to transmit your live HD content directly to the Internet or to multiple decoders
located worldwide. Bond’s revolutionary Adaptive Internet Streaming technology constantly adjusts the video bit rate in real time to adapt to varying network
conditions. This will ensure that your content is delivered reliably and at the highest quality possible to its destination.
· Sputnik Server
Sputnik is Teradek’s free software application between Bond and your streaming destination. Sputnik is designed to run on a Linux computer either in
the cloud (using Amazon EC2) or on a local server with a single, publicly addressable TCP port. The software recombines the packets from your cellular
modems into a cohesive stream that can be sent to an H.264 decoder or viewed online.
·
Compact & Affordable
The Bond, Bond II, and Bond Pro are the smallest and most cost-effective cellular bonding solutions on the market today. Despite its
industry leading design and features, Bond is very affordable, which opens the doors for anybody to go live from any location with adequate cellular coverage.
·
Base: Turnkey Sputnik Server & Decoder Base is an
integrated link aggregation and H.264 decoding solution for video broadcasts transmitted over the Teradek Link or Bond. As an alternative to an Amazon EC2
instance or building your own Linux server, Base de-bonds and decodes your video feed from a single rack mount server with an HD-SDI output.
· Dashboard
The Teradek Dashboard is a web GUI for monitoring the performance of your Bond system. Dashboard displays the bit rate
and latency per modem, total data usage, modem status, buffer length, and many other statistics to help you keep track of your streaming performance in real time.
· Core™ Integration
Core is Teradek's new cloud-based encoder fleet management system that integrates with Sputnik. From an intuitive Web GUI, users are provided with
extensive control over many parameters of connected Teradek IP video devices. Core also offers a unique drag and drop workflow that allows you to direct video
feeds from any encoder to any number of decoders in real time.
· Adaptive Bit Rate Streaming
Bond features Teradek's novel Adaptive Bit Rate Streaming (ABRS) technology, which dynamically adjusts the video bit rate and buffer of
your stream in real time to adapt to varying network conditions. ABRS ensures that your content is delivered reliably and at the highest quality possible.
· Adaptive Frame Rate Streaming
Bond's Adaptive Frame Rate Streaming feature was designed to ensure that your live video reaches its destination at any cost. If cellular
service at your location suddenly drops to levels that are too slow to transmit an HD quality video, the AFRS feature will begin to drop the frame rate until
your content reaches its destination in tact. This feature is ideal for breaking news coverage where successful video transmission is imperative at any cost.
