ONE PRODUCT, TWO DEVICES
The DP4-EVF has been designed to function from the ground-up as a standalone 4.3” field monitor and as an electronic viewfinder with the click-on EVF
attachment, critical when the budget—and luggage space—is tight. The EVF configuration offers the camera operator a cinematic-like view of the screen;
great for eliminating distractions and for critical focusing when using the DP4’s built-in focus assist and peaking features. |

|
MONITOR ←→EVF
Even after choosing to use the DP4 as an EVF, switching back to field monitor mode is nothing more than flipping the EVF out of the way, which is then held firmly in place by high-powered magnets. |

FUTURE-MINDED DESIGN
smallHD have spent a lot of time with the DP6 creating a menu and button system that works quickly and in a way that makes sense. With the addition of a
customizable preset button, the features you use most are the ones you will never have to dig around to get to |
| |
1080P-READY
Acceptance of high-bitrate signals such as 1080p is not a given on every EVF or small monitor on the market but is done painlessly on the DP4.

Use the battery that suits you.
Not everyone uses the same battery—nor should they be forced to. SmallHD have developed swappable battery plates for the DP4 that include: Canon(LP-E6), Nikon (EN-EL15) and Sony (NP-F970). |
| |
|
HDMI, Composite...Pass it on Using passthru for both HDMI and Composite, the DP4 shares the source signal with another monitor or device without using any other piece of equipment. |
| |
|
DURABILITY RUNS DEEP The DP4 has been built with a high emphasis on strength and durability. By using
milled aluminum for its frame and support points for internal components, the result is one extremely rugged field monitor. |
| |
READY TO GO OUT OF THE BOX
Included with your DP4 purchase are a number of accessories to get you shooting immediately, such as HDMI & Component cables, an LP-E6 battery bracket as well
as extras like the DP4 sunhood, acrylic screen protector and a right-angle HDMI adapter for optimal cable management.

Easy to use menu
Continuing to go beyond the typical “field monitor” design, smallHD come up with a simple, ergonomic menu navigation system unlike any other field monitor on the
market. Much like the button/scroll-wheel layout of most DSLR cameras, it offers an incredibly natural feel, and more importantly is intuitive enough for anyone
to learn quickly. As proof of its simplicity, the operator can carry the DP6 and navigate through its menu simultaneously, using only one hand. |
| |
|
User-Programmable buttons
Every camera operator or DP has their own methods that allow them to work comfortably; with that in mind, smallHD included two user-defined function
buttons which can be mapped to instantly switch on or off the effect of your choice, from Focus Assist+ to False Color to 1:1 Mapping to Freeze Frame and more. |
| |
|
Field-Updatable Firmware
smallHD goal is to make sure you’re buying technology that will advance forward, rather than become quickly outdated. In addition to using the highest-end
hardware, smallHD created a way to add new features to the DP6’s menu system through a simple USB firmware interface. We’ll always be working on new
features, and as a result, your feedback will directly influence the development of features. |

Auto Aspect Detect
Apart from the general benefit of not having to adjust the scale setting regularly, the true advantage of auto aspect-ratio detection comes when using
DSLRs. Often with a differing output resolution between standby and record mode, these cameras can be frustrating to work with as they force the operator to live
with a squished image during one of these modes. Not anymore. Auto Aspect Detect eliminates any stretching or squishing no matter how often you switch modes. |
| |
|
Backlight Adjustment
Simple and novel, the backlight brightness adjustment allows you to choose whether to crank things up for bright, outdoor situations, or turn things back to conserve battery when in a studio setting. |
