Finance Manager
|
The key elements of the job will be:
- To manage the local Singapore company in all aspects of invoicing, collections and finance management
- To develop finance reporting systems
- Responsible for monthly close activities including preparing, reviewing and posting journal entries
- Ensure timely completion and review of all general ledger account reconciliation
- Comply with IFRS accounting and provide accounting guidance to the team and the finance organization within the company
- Prepare monthly balance sheet for management reporting
- Drive global finance projects to improve operational efficiency
- The assist the Managing Director in financial planning
- To develop and execute the company’s business plans to meet or exceed sales and revenue targets whilst staying within cost guidelines
Requirements:
- CPA/ Degree in Accounting
- Good understanding of various accounting practices in the region
- Broad experience in regional accounting and revenue recognition
- A proven track record of managing a finance function
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a finance management position
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- A driven and motivated individual who is a team contributor

Job Scope:
- Formulate, direct and coordinate marketing activities and policies to promote products and services, working with advertising and promotion managers.
- Identify, develop, and evaluate marketing strategy, based on knowledge of establishment objectives, market characteristics, and cost and mark up factors.
- Direct the hiring, training, and performance evaluations of marketing and sales staff and oversee their daily activities.
- Evaluate the financial aspects of product development, such as budgets, expenditures, research and development appropriations, and return-on-investment and profit-loss projections.
- Develop pricing strategies, balancing firm objectives and customer satisfaction.
- Compile lists describing product or service offerings.
- Initiate market research studies and analyze their findings.
- Use sales forecasting and strategic planning to ensure the sale and profitability of products, lines, or services, analyzing business developments and monitoring market trends.
- Coordinate and participate in promotional activities and trade shows, working with developers, advertisers, and production managers, to market products and services.
- Consult with buying personnel to gain advice regarding the types of products or services expected to be in demand.

Job Scope:
- Prepare, examine, or analyze accounting records, financial statements, or other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards.
- Establish tables of accounts and assign entries to proper accounts.
- Develop, implement, modify, and document recordkeeping and accounting systems, making use of current computer technology.
- Compute taxes owed and prepare tax returns, ensuring compliance with payment, reporting or other tax requirements.
- Maintain or examine the records of government agencies.
- Advise clients in areas such as compensation, employee health care benefits, the design of accounting or data processing systems, or long-range tax or estate plans.
- Develop, maintain, and analyze budgets, preparing periodic reports that compare budgeted costs to actual costs.
- Provide internal and external auditing services for businesses or individuals.
- Analyze business operations, trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations, to project future revenues and expenses or to provide advice.
Requirements:
- Candidate must possess at least Diploma in
accounting studies or equivalent professional
qualifications.
- At least 2 year(s) of working experience in
the related field is required for this position.
- Diligent with careful attention to details
and procedures.
- Able to advance internal controls and make
improvements to the flow of work
- Knowledge of SAP/B1 would be advantageous
