The wireless receiver of the UWP-D Series can be
attached to camcorders or interchangeable-lens cameras that have an MI
(Multi-Interface) shoe using the MI shoe adaptor SMAD-P3. This eliminates the
need for connecting cables. By using the MI shoe adaptor, audio signals can be
transmitted from the wireless receiver to a camera. In addition, the wireless
receiver can get power from the camera, and the camera can control power ON/OFF,
unifying power management.
The SMAD-P3 is applicable to XDCAM Camcorder PXW-X70, PXW-X160, PXW-X180,
PXW-X280, PXW-X200* and PXW-FS7, Handycam HXR-MC2500, FDR-AX100, NEX-VG900 &
NEX-VG30, plus interchangeable lens digital camera α7/ α7R/ α7S/ α99, α7S pro
and Cyber-shot DSC-RX10 (as of November 2014).
*Please note: The MI Shoe on the PXW-X200 will be activated by a firmware
version upgrade scheduled for Spring 2015 |
No need for separate XLR cable
Using an MI Shoe connection, the audio signal from a UWP-D11 or UWP-D12 wireless
microphone package can be input from the wireless microphone receiver to the
camera without an XLR cable.
Power can be supplied by camera
Power can be switched on and off from the camera/camcorder. |
