The
lenses have rings that handle iris, zoom as well as focus distance. The flange
distance on these lenses are adjustable and hence can be used on a range of
different cameras. They are further designed such focus point shift, lens
breathing and optical axis shifts are reduced. The prices for both lenses are
also affordable.
If you are an emerging cinematographer, these lenses are perfect for you. You
can shoot any form of live event, even do online programming, shoot
documentaries, corporate videos, weddings, independent or even do a short film
production comfortably.
The “MK” lenses have addressed the ever-growing demand for content created by
the emerging cinematographers which has, in turn, increased immensely the demand
for top quality cinema lenses and hence the designing of the “MK” lenses. Their
portability and low cost features, combined with their high performance has
contributed to this.
The products are designed in a manner that consistent colour temperature with
all FUJINON cinema lenses is maintained, and this, in turn, makes colour grading
simple. The two have very low minimum object distance (MOD) at 0.85 meters for
MK 18-55mm and 1.2 meters for MK 50-135mm. The products also have state of the
art optical performance and among the least distortion.
Unlike DSLR lenses, the MK series are designed for moving images. The series’
seamless manual iris, zero breathing, without ramping or zoom shift and their
focus rotation is 200-degree. These enable the products to maintain focus
completely throughout the zoom range while covering Super 35mm sensors.
Both the series have a Flange Focal Distance (FFD) adjustment function which
enables one to get optimum matching of the camera and lens. The FFD in the MK
series is short, which translates to the size of the lenses as well as its
weight. The FFD is the enabler of the compact size and light weight. |
