The Datavideo HDR-100 is a hard drive based video
recorder and player that uses removable hard drive enclosures. It
records Standard and High Definition video via SDI and Component
connectors and DV and HDV via Firewire connectors, with a
convenient loop-through for monitoring. RS-232 and RS-422 remote
control interfaces are standard.
The HDR-100 provides a choice of recording formats in MPEG-2,
including 1080i, 720p, 576i and 480i, with a choice of IBP or
intra-frame (i-frame). The recorded files are compatible with a
wide range of NLE and play-out solutions.
The compact 2U design can be easily integrated with other equipment
or can be used as a standalone recorder/player in the studio or on
location.
Once you have completed your recording, simply eject the hard drive
enclosure and connect it to a PC or Mac via USB 2.0 cable (no extra
power supply required as USB 2.0 provides power, perfect for laptop
use in the field). You can work directly from the removable drive
or copy video files across to the NLE's video drives.
