The XF400 Professional Camcorder offers an outstanding combination of 4K UHD image quality, features and functionality in a compact portable design ideally suited for government, broadcast, education, corporate and event videography for cost-effective 4K UHD quality video.

Featuring a 1.0-inch 4K UHD CMOS image sensor and dual DIGIC DV 6 Image Processors, the XF400 records in MP4 format to dual SD card slots. The camcorder is capable of recording 4K UHD video at 60p, as well as slow motion recording up to 120fps in Full HD. A 15x optical zoom lens maintains 4K UHD quality throughout the entire zoom range, while the camcorder's Dual Pixel CMOS AF helps facilitate fast and accurate autofocus.

The camcorder includes an HDMI 2.0 terminal with 4K UHD output support, two XLR terminals with independent audio level control. An adjustable 3.5-inch touch panel LCD monitor and a built-in 0.24-inch electronic viewfinder enhance usability, and the detachable handle helps the XF400 to operate in a variety of shooting situations. Designed to meet the needs of professionals, the XF400 offers a wide range of recording possibilities.

4K UHD/50P recording on SD cards with high frame rates
The XF400 supports UHD/50P MP4 format (150Mbps) recording along with additional XF-AVC support (planned via a firmware update in 2018).

High quality 4K lens with 15x zoom
A powerful 4K lens captures maximum detail from your subjects and offers outstanding flexibility with a 25.5mm-wide angle-of-view along with a 15x zoom, increasing to 30x Advanced Zoom in FHD.

Dual Pixel CMOS AF for high-speed, precise autofocus
Dual Pixel CMOS AF offers improved performance and control with minimal effort thanks to an expanded focusing area covers approx. 80% (vertically) x 80% (horizontally) of the image on the screen.

Network capability with FTP transfer and remote control
The XF400 boasts Wi-Fi and Ethernet LAN connectivity, allowing fast and convenient transfer of files direct from the camcorder to external workflow environments. Control of the camera is also possible via a smartphone or tablet with Browser remote or the Canon RC-V100 wired controller.

Compact and lightweight body, professional operability
The XF400 is one of the smallest and lightest camcorders in its class and designed to be agile, robust and responsive with professional levels of control and connectivity. Dual SD card slots for MP4 recording enable extended shooting times, while an SDI terminal on the XF405 allows live footage to be output to other professional devices.
