Intensity Extreme,
the World’s first HD/SD editing solution to feature lightning
fast Thunderbolt™ technology. Simply plug in Intensity
Extreme to get incredible quality HDMI, component video, s-video
and composite capture and playback for Thunderbolt™ based
computers. The perfect solution for videographers, Intensity
Extreme includes SD/HD capture and playback in compressed and
uncompressed video quality. Better still, this revolutionary new
device is compatible with Avid Media Composer 6™, Final Cut
Pro™, Adobe Premiere Pro™, Adobe After Effects™,
Nuke™, DaVinci Resolve and more.
Incredible quality HDMI capture and playback!
Intensity lets you capture and playback in the most incredible
quality of HDMI and component analog video in both SD and HD. Smash
the quality barrier for your video work because Intensity is not
only the highest quality, but also affordable! There's three
fantastic models of Intensity; Intensity Pro for PCI Express based
computers, Intensity Shuttle for USB 3.0 computers and new
Intensity Extreme with lightning-fast Thunderbolt™
technology!
Professional Performance
Go beyond the limits of your AVCHD or HDV camera! Simply plug using
HDMI or analog and capture direct from your camera's CCD! You get
incredible quality that completely bypasses the camera's video
compression. Use Intensity for monitoring from your edit software
for maximum real time effects! Intensity connects direct to your
editing software's real time effects processing!
PCI Express, USB 3.0 or Thunderbolt™
There are three Intensity models available, depending on the
computer you use. Intensity Pro works with Mac, Windows and Linux
computers with PCI Express slots. PCI Express gives you incredible
speed for maximum real time effects in a card based design that
fits right inside your computer. Intensity Shuttle works on Windows
computers with USB 3.0. It uses SuperSpeed USB 3.0, the USB
connection standard for computers that's 10 times faster than
regular USB. That's 4.8 Gb/s, which easily handles the highest
quality 10 bit uncompressed 1080HD video on x58 or P55 series or
better Windows computers. And then there’s new Intensity
Extreme. It’s the first of the Intensity range to use
Intel’s revolutionary Thunderbolt™
technology.
New Intensity Extreme with Thunderbolt™
Introducing Intensity Extreme, built with blazingly fast
Thunderbolt™ technology. Machined from a solid piece of
aluminum, Intensity Extreme gives you incredible quality HDMI,
component video, s-video and composite 10 bit capture and playback.
Better still, this super-sleek, high-speed data transfer system
offers an incredible 10 Gb/s connection that’s up to 20 times
faster than USB 2.0 and up to 11.5 times faster than FireWire
800.
Use Popular Video Software
Intensity works with the software you love to use! Use
DirectShow™ and QuickTime™ software, or the world's
most popular editing software such as Final Cut Pro™ and
Premiere Pro™!
Highest Quality Analog Connections
The included break-out cable connects Intensity Pro to all types of
analog video and audio equipment. This gives you full compatibility
with analog component, NTSC, PAL, S-Video and analog audio.
True HDMI Digital Connections
Intensity features HDMI-in for connecting to cameras and digital
set-top boxes for the highest quality capture. Get higher quality
capture from HD cameras by capturing direct and bypassing HDV
compression.
True HDMI
Digital Connections Intensity features the highest quality HDMI input and output
connections. HDMI is the worldwide standard for connecting digital
consumer video equipment like cameras, set-top boxes and disk
recorders. Intensity's HDMI output is perfect for monitoring full
HD, HDV and even DV editing projects on the latest big screen TVs
and HD video projectors! HDMI includes your audio, so you can
connect to your TV with a single cable!
Uncompressed
or Compressed Video
HDV and DV use heavy compression. This increases the load on your
computer's CPU as editing software decodes the video just to
display each frame. Working with uncompressed video leaves the CPU
free for real time effects and your system will feel snappy and
fast to use. As uncompressed HD requires a fast disk array,
Intensity also works with compressed video that's higher quality
than HDV. You can also use popular editing software codecs like
Apple ProRes and Avid DNxHD.
Full HD
Resolution
Intensity captures full HD images with 1920 x 1080 pixels for every
video frame. HDV reduces the image size to 1440 pixels wide due to
the limitations of camera storage and the data transfer speed of
FireWire. Modern video cameras have built-in HDMI output and you
can directly capture from the camera's image sensor. Now you can
get professional quality images from low cost cameras and record
the image sensor's full quality before any compression is
applied
Professional Video Standards
Intensity will instantly switch between HD and SD video standards
including HDTV 1080i/59.94, 1080i/50, 720p/59.94, 720p/50, NTSC and
PAL. Intensity can also capture and play back all professional file
formats so you can deliver finished television programs, music
videos and other work at broadcast standards. Add broadcast quality
to your editing system and move to a new world of video editing
where your images always stay absolutely perfect at full resolution
HDTV!
Record your Game Play!
Connect Intensity to your gaming console for amazing live action
game play recording. Intensity is based on high quality broadcast
television electronics, so you'll get full quality and full motion
without dropped frames. This means you get incredible quality,
totally perfect and in full resolution!
