The Sony SSC-M383CE offers high picture quality with a resolution of 570TV lines at a competitive price. By incorporating Sony’s Exwave HAD™ CCD technology a remarkably high sensitivity of 0.07 lux at F1.2 (50 IRE, AGC ON) is possible and an excellent signal-to-noise ration of better than 50dB can be achieved.
In addition the SSC-M383CE has other great features such as backlight compensation, Turbo AGC, CCD Iris™, and a new stylish, compact design. The SSC-M383CE operates on DC12 volt/ AC24 volt.

Features

Horizontal resolution of 570 TV lines
The SSC-M383CE camera incorporates a 1/3 type IT Exwave HAD™ CCD with more than 437,000 effective picture elements and a horizontal resolution of 570 TV lines.
High sensitivity
Sony Exwave HAD™ CCD offers extremely high sensitivity from the use of an improved microlens over each pixel of the CCD, so that a light level of only 0.07 lux at F1.2 (50 IRE, AGC ON) is required to obtain excellent picture results.
BLC (Backlight Compensation)
The SSC-M383CE camera can automatically compensate for backlight conditions by switching on the Back Light Compensation (BLC) mode, which is centre measured. The BLC mode is on/off switchable.
Turbo AGC
The SSC-M383CE camera is equipped with an advanced Turbo AGC function. This boosts the range of the camera’s AGC by up to 24 dB so that a subject under low illumination can be distinguished more clearly. The Turbo AGC is on/off switchable.
CCD IRISTM function
This function allows the use of an inexpensive manual iris lens instead of a more costly automatic iris lens. As the scene illumination level varies, this camera compensates by automatically changing the exposure time of the photo sensors. This is achieved by varying the electronic shutter speed of the CCD over a range or 1/50 to 1/100,000 of a second.
CS-mount
The camera can be used with CS-mount lenses and precise back-focus adjustment can be easily accomplished. C-Mount lenses also can be used with a C-mount adapter.
DC12V / AC24V Operation
The SSC-M383CE operates on both DC12V and AC24 V, the camera will automatically select the correct power supply upon operation.
Stylish and Compact Design
The new stylish compact design is lightweight and easy to integrate into almost any interior. In addition due to the compact size it is easy to fit into almost any housing.

The analogue Backlight Compensation function helps to overcome strong backlighting effects, which often cause the subject of the picture to be cast into a shadow. This makes the subject more easily visible, providing an improved level of object recognition in surveillance and monitoring systems.
Use of manual Iris lens instead of Auto Iris lens.
In the case that the illumination level of the scene changes slightly, the SSC-M383CE does not necessarily require a more costly auto iris lens because of the CCD IrisTM function. As the illumination changes the CCD Iris function responds by automatically reducing or increasing the exposure time of the photosensors.
Flexible choice of lens
The SSC-M383CE does not limit you in choice of lenses as it accepts both DC servo and video servo lenses, when a DC servo lens is used, the level of output signal is adjustable. In addition you have the freedom to choose between a CS-mount or a C-mount lens.
