This versatile AW-HE870N delivers affordable 2/3" quality acquisition for a wide range of applications. This new addition to Panasonic's best-selling HD convertible camera line supports 1080i/720p HD and 480i SD capture and is compatible with most 2/3-inch motor drive zoom lenses.

Combining versatile HD/SD functionality, high video quality and cost effectiveness, the HE870 is ideal for use in education, government, houses of worship, corporate boardrooms, staging and much more. Compatible with Panasonic's comprehensive line of high-performance indoor/outdoor pan-tilt systems, the compact Panasonic HE870 offers a simple upgrade path to HD. Previously installed control systems may require a firmware upgrade to access all of the new camera's features.

• 2/3" 3-CCD imager with spatial offset technology for crisp, high-resolution picture
• 38-bit digital signal processor (DSP) and 14-bit A/D converter provide clear, sharp images
• 12-axis matrix provides you with the freedom of production
• Exceptionally high sensitivity allows shooting in low lighting (F10 at 2,000 Lux)
• Shutter speeds ranging from 1/100 to 1/10000 second
• Syncro-Scan (61.19 Hz to 1466 Hz) feature that eliminates flicker when shooting a television or computer monitor
• Interfaces include switchable HD/SD component output and full-time SD composite and Y/C outputs, remote control, iris and genlock
• Built-in down converter and HD/SD switchable
• Provides HD component and SD composite output simultaneously
• Slot to add option card to expand capabilities for a wide range of applications
• Optional AW-HHD870 output card adds two distributed SDI outputs (HD/SD switchable) and a Zoom/Focus control port for added flexibility
